EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - AFRES WOMEN IN SURVEYING AND REAL ESTATE
The membership for AfRES Women in Surveying and Real Estate is be open to all women in the Surveying and Real Estate in the three AfRES chapters, namely Western, Southern and Eastern Africa.
Our Objectives
- To promote the practice of surveying and real estate by women
- Create and advance the opportunities for women in surveying and real estate
- Equip women for wider responsibilities in the profession
- Showcase women surveyors as role models
- Open avenues for women to share ideas and get to know each other
- Create a forum for the discussion of matters relation to women in the profession
- To structure a mentoring scheme to mentor younger women and students in the Profession
- Organize activities like study trips, conferences and social activities etc.
- Link up with other local and international professional societies in the profession
- Promote activities that are of mutual interest and benefit for both women and men in the profession
- Have an outreach programme

The term for officers shall be Two (2) years
Election of Officers
- The Executive office bearers of AfRES Women in Surveying and Real Estate shall elected by secret ballot.
- Regional Chapters will conduct their own elections
Finance
- There shall be no subscription paid by members
- Members can however fundraise from organizations and companies to help support students to attend the annual AfRES conference and for the annual Women in Surveying and Real Estate dinner
Patrons and Advisory Board
- The AfRES Women in Surveying and Real Estate shall have a patron and an advisory board. These will be elected from each chapter to serve for three (3) years
Women Conference, Dinner or breakfast Meetings
Women in Surveying and Real Estate will hold the following meetings
- A Dinner or breakfast meeting in the Annual AfRES conference
- A conference or seminars during the year. This can be organized by the Executive Board at National level and by Chapter Heads at Chapter level
- Each chapter shall organize a physical event locally (in country)
